One season, one region

One area, one harvest, and the list that works it.

Aerial view of rural road cutting through farmland

A season has a shape. In Ontario it runs from the first field harvests of late summer to the last storage crops of winter.

A chapter starts with an assigned area and a list. The List Builder works through the farm businesses in it, county by county, from published sources. Pairs draft each email from the template, and the Outreach Editor reads every one before it is sent. What can come back is specific: a grower with more of something than the market wanted, fruit that is the wrong size for a supermarket, or a contract that fell through in August.

Each yes is handed to an organization that collects with its own vehicle, and the farm arranges the pickup directly. The Follow-up Clerk closes each record once the receiving organization confirms whether it collected. The Records and Hours Clerk records the farm, the contact and the outcome.

One region at a time.
