Six roles in every chapter, and a student holds every one.

Every chapter of The Neighbour’s Table is a club of its own school, run by its own students. Every role in a chapter is held by a student, and a Teacher Advisor at the school is copied on every message that leaves it.

Andrew Adair is the Founder of The Neighbour’s Table. HQ approves and supports chapters, and each chapter is run by its own students. Every chapter runs on the same six roles: Chapter Lead, Deputy Lead, Outreach Editor, List Builder, Follow-up Clerk and Records and Hours Clerk. A new chapter starts with three of them: Chapter Lead, Deputy Lead and Outreach Editor. The roles are the same in every chapter, so every chapter starts from the same written method.

Members are unpaid and this is a standing weekly session, not a one-off shift. A chapter meets once a week at lunch, in a room at the school, and hands over cleanly when a member finishes school.

Students, with named roles.

The session

What a week in a chapter looks like: the weekly session, who speaks to whom between sessions, and the pace a chapter keeps through the growing season and exam term.
