Resources
What we publish, and the research we work from.
This section holds two things: the documents The Neighbour’s Table produces, and the published research every statistic on this site is drawn from.
Our own material covers how a chapter works and the roles members hold. The research comes from named sources: Second Harvest and Value Chain Management International on food waste, PROOF at the University of Toronto on household food insecurity, Food Banks Canada and Feed Ontario on food bank use, Statistics Canada on agriculture, and the UN Environment Programme on emissions.
Every figure we use is linked to the document it came from, with the year of the data beside it. Where a source publishes new figures, we update the page and change the date rather than leaving an old number standing.
Read the source yourself.
The catalogue
One list, everything on it: our own documents and every study behind the statistics on this site, each with a link to the original and the year of the data.

Organizations that want to work with The Neighbour’s Table, from farms with surplus to food banks with capacity, can read what that involves and what we ask of each other before writing.
