Our work
Quality and standards
Nothing leaves a chapter unchecked, and nothing is promised that we cannot keep.
Standards are what make this work with farms. A grower who answers a chapter is trusting students they have not met, and the quality of the asking decides it.
Pairs draft each email from the template, and the Outreach Editor reads every one before it is sent. It says who we are, asks one question, and carries the school’s street address and the STOP line. It does not overstate what a chapter can do, and it never asks a grower to guess.
No promise is made to a farm that a receiving organization has not confirmed. The Follow-up Clerk closes each record once the receiving organization confirms whether it collected, and the Records and Hours Clerk logs the farm, the contact and the outcome exactly as it happened.
Accurate records, kept current.
The operation
Standards sit inside a wider piece of work: farm lists built for each assigned area, every yes handed to a food bank that collects, and advocacy that runs alongside both. The section sets all of it out.
Our workThe method
Ask, introduce, record. Each one has a method behind it, and the standards on this page are what hold the first two together when a chapter is working at pace.
What we doWhat we ask about
The produce a chapter asks about is edible food a farm cannot sell. No student handles it. Recording exactly what the farm said it has is part of the standard.
